After taking the summer off, Answer Racing's James Stewart returns to his winning ways by taking his 3rd US Open of Supercross title. With $100,000 on the line for the winner, James put his head down and came away with a well deserved victory. Coming into the weekend, the last time he had lined up on the starting gate was earlier this year in May; yet, this time off seemed to revive him as he dominated the weekend by winning all of his heats, one-on-one races and the main event both nights.
"It was a fun race," said Stewart. "I didn't get the start that I wanted but I got the job done. The money is one thing, but our team worked really hard so this is rewarding for them."
With this win, James puts the final stamp on a well deserved season. Next up on the list, he will be getting ready to defend his title at the Bercy Supercross and in the 2010 AMA Supercross series.
