FULLERTON, CALIF. (June 11th, 2009) - The first annual "Monsters of Motocross Presented By Lucas Oil" went off October 31st, 2008 but the event is still alive with the dual release of the event DVD and eBay auction with over 40 items benefitting the Reeve-Irvine Research Center and spinal cord injury research.
The event that took place October 31st, 2008 honored Brad Lackey with the "Edison Dye Motocross Lifetime Achievement Award" and was hosted by Bob Hannah. The two-hour DVD covers most of the event including a roast of "Bad Brad" Lackey by eight of his friends and motocross legends plus the hilarious spoof of the iconic 1975 film "One Chance to Win" called "No Chance to Win" where Bob Hannah plays the parts of most of the characters. It also features Jody Weisel's emotional "Motocross Immortals" tribute. The benefit DVD will sell for $19.95 and will be released June 30, 2009.
An online eBay auction started today with donated items from a host of companies like Monster Energy, Troy Lee Designs, Scott, MSR, Michael's Action Art, O'Neal, Alpinestars, MotoDogTags.com, Metro Racing, Badco Printing, Bob Hannah, and Pipeline Digital Media. Items include race jerseys from Ryan Villopoto, Jason Lawrence, Jeff Ward, Ivan Tedesco, Doug Dubach and Bob Hannah. Plus Chris Gossler's Troy Lee Helmet and signed prints of Malcolm Smith, Jeremy McGrath, Roger DeCoster, Bob Hannah.
