2010 may not be here yet, but the bikes of next year are just around the corner. With the manufacturers revving up to release (or re-release, depending on the model) their new machines, the buzz surrounding the pack of new bikes is understandably high. Who went to FI? Which bikes are lighter? Did anything get the axe? These are all valid questions, ones that Dirt Rider can—and will—answer.
Given the long-lead time of our magazine, we receive information about the new bikes long before anything about them is released to the public. However, we collectively sign our lives away and swear ourselves to secrecy in exchange for the sensitive info and photos. That way, we can bring you—our loyal reader—information in the magazine that isn't three months old.
Of course, the web complicates this agreement a bit, but in actuality it makes things even better. Compared with the days of old where a reader had to wait until the magazine showed up to see the new bikes, we can now delivery said information the very minute that the embargo is lifted. And with the 2010 new bike season fast approaching, a number of these embargoes are in place right now.

We take our ability to keep secrets very seriously, and as a result I can't yet spill the beans about all the cool 2010 spy stuff sitting in a pile on the corner of my desk. However, I can tell you when YOU will see some of it. To begin with, information from Kawasaki regarding the new bikes is set to drop....oh, less than an hour and a half from now, meaning that if you're reading this blog and it's more than two hours old you've probably already seen the info.
But what of the other manufacturers? While I can't yet comment on Honda, KTM or Suzuki, I CAN tell you that Yamaha has some information on the way that you'll be able to see right on our site some time on July 21st. Also, keeping your browser open to www.dirtrider.com one week into September would be a good bet as well. As for the rest of the information, well, we all will just have to be patient. But be calm with the knowledge that there is some radical new technology coming down the pipe, and 2010 will be an extremely cool year as far as updated motorcycles go.
Trust me.
