Hendersonville, North Carolina: Jimmy Jarrett earned second place in the XC1 Pro class at the Weekend Warrior Titan GNCC this last weekend in Lafayette, Tennessee. Riding his Team JG Off Road Geico Powersports Monster Energy Kawasaki, equipped with Öhlins USA suspension components. Jarrett crossed the finish line of the three-hour race barely more than a minute behind race winner and teammate Paul Whibley, claiming his third second-place finish for the season on his number-6 Kawasaki.
Jarrett's Kawasaki KXF 450 is equipped with an Öhlins TTX Fork Kit up front, and an Öhlins TTX fully-adjustable shock out back, the same components available to all racers and off-road riders through Öhlins USA and Öhlins dealers and service centers.
David Behrend, Öhlins USA Off Road Motorcycle Development Technician said, "I can't say how great it is having Jimmy out there weekend after weekend showing the consistency of our products at every track and in every condition. Again, we congratulate him and his whole team for such a great showing. We have confidence in Jimmy having a season that will just keep getting better."
Jarrett said, "It was a great race right from the start. I nailed the holeshot and was running consistently in the top three all day and knew that I had a chance for the win. On the last lap I ran the leader down and was just ten seconds from him when I fell. I never lost concentration though, and got back on the bike and brought it home in second. My guys did a great job."
Scotty Watkins, teammate to Jarrett on the JG Off Road Geico Powersports Monster Energy Kawasaki team, complemented Jarrett's podium finish with second place of his own in XC2 Pro Lites. This is also Watkins third podium for the season, including a win at the last round. Watkins is now third in XC2 Pro Lites points and Jarrett is a very close fourth in XC1 Pro.
The next GNCC race is the Geico Mountain Ridge event in Summerset, Pennsylvania, May 16-17. Racers and riders wanting to upgrade to Öhlins Fork Kits and Shocks are encouraged to call Öhlins USA: 828-692-4525, or visit the website listed below to find an Öhlins dealer or service center in your area.
